Propylene
glycol is used as an antifreeze
component when safety is a main issue.
Propylene glycol is generally considered
safe for the environment or where there
is a risk of accidental ingestion.
It is most commonly used to winterize boats,
campers, cottages, pools and any other use
where the antifreeze will be released into the
environment come spring. Typical automotive
antifreeze, or ethylene glycol, is highly toxic
to both animals and to the environment
in general.
It is illegal to release ethylene glycol into
a sewer,
body of water or onto land. Our propylene glycol
based antifreezes are available in a variety
of
strengths and types. We have specific products
for winterizing marine engines, campers and
cottages, swimming pools and for industrial
use.
It is available in 1 gallon, 5 gallon and
55 gallon sizes.
