HOSE CONNECTOR

Occasionally
spray both the male and female parts of the connector
with a general penetrating lubricant to prevent
corrosion. Pull down moveable sleeve and spray underneath
for best results. |

| FOAM
DOME
|
|
Periodically
inspect dome for general cleanliness and condition.
Inspect the foam seal that runs along the outer
inside edge. Seal must be replaced if any rip or
damage is noted.
Clean vacuum filter by hand, or remove and rinse.
To remove filter screen loosen hose clamp, remove
vacuum hose from outside of dome, pass a screwdriver
handle first in through the backside and gently
tap on inside of filter till removed. During cleaning
and while replacing be careful not to squeeze filter
out of round.
Clean
solution hose filter by hand, or if build up is
present unscrew filter and soak overnight in a liquid
calcium and lime eliminator. Rinse well and replace.

| SPRAY

Periodically
check the spray tip for residue or hard water build-
up. If blockage is noticed soak the tip in a liquid
calcium and lime remover overnight. It may be necessary
to pass a very fine wire through the tip to dislodge
the foreign material. |

| BRUSH
CLEANING
|
|
Clean
the beater brush after each rental using a wire
bristle paint scraping brush. The wire tines of
the paint scraping brush will grab the carpet fibers
etc tangled onto the beater brush making the task
must easier and faster. Wipe clean the bottom of
the machine paying close attention to the area around
the spray tip and brush. |

Flush
unit with clean water after each use. Occasionally
lubricate the trigger valve with a general penetrating
fluid. Remove spray tip and soak in a liquid calcium
and lime remover as needed. |

| VACUUM
SHOE MAINTENANCE
|
|
Check
to make sure the vacuum passageway has not become
clogged with carpet fibers and lint. Pass a hacksaw
blade up into the vacuum slot to clear. The teeth
on the blade will grab onto the debris making removal
fast and easy. |
